
TRIS recently presented its exhibition "The World's Greatest Mela – Honoring India’s Cinematic Legacy" at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Curated by Neville Tuli, the exhibit featured a carefully selected collection from a vast archive of over 400,000 Indian cinema items, including rare film posters, vintage booklets, original publicity materials, and memorabilia from TRIS-associated iconic films. Highlights of the exhibition included hand-painted posters, vintage booklets, and promotional materials from timeless Indian movies like "Mughal-E-Azam," "Pakeezah," and "Sholay." Additionally, the showcase acknowledged significant collaborations in Indian cinema, such as those between Raj Kapoor and Nargis, as well as Amitabh Bachchan and Manmohan Desai. The role of dance in Indian cinema was also explored, with exhibitions that traced its storytelling significance. Student groups from various educational institutions flocked to the exhibition, eager to delve into the history of Indian cinema and its profound influence on the country.
